For the 2018 season, a new water hiking rest area was built on the northern shore of Lake Sellin. The old bulwark was completely redesigned. 80 berths were created as well as landing stages for two passenger ships. From Lake Sellin you can reach the Having, a bay in the Rügen Bodden, via the Baaber Bek.

The Baltic resort of Sellin is a municipality on the island of Rügen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The municipality in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen is administered by the Amt Mönchgut-Granitz with its headquarters in the municipality of Baabe.
